One of my greatest joys is to see loved ones getting outdoors and spending quality time together. And what better way to do that than family and friends gathering for a cookout.

My goal is to deliver the best content around for aspiring backyard chefs and fellow meat addicts everywhere. I am a true carnivore who is not afraid to get dirty or downright saucy with food to bring you everything you need to know to start creating mouthwatering food that’s the talk of the neighborhood.

On this site, you will be learning how to master the grill, no matter what skill level you are starting from. You also learn that smoking meat is not just for the professionals but can be done by anyone.

Did I mention that I grill like a freakin BOSS too? Well, at least that’s what my family tells me.  I do realize that they are required to say this, so I don’t take myself too seriously.

I offer comprehensive Grilling Techniques, inside Grilling Tips & More on many different cooking styles & equipment. My goal is to help you reach your grilling potential no matter what level you’re starting from. All while realizing that Outdoor Cooking is fun.

I’m Definitely Living The Grilling Life and Loving Every Minute of It

I love all things BBQ. I love eating BBQ and talking BBQ, but most of all, I love getting outside and cooking BBQ.

You might say, I’m a bit of a grill freak!

And you’d be right!

It’s hard to pick my favorite thing to grill, but if I had to make a choice…I’d say it is a tie between our Northern California favorite tri-tip, fall off the bone ribs and a slow cooked, smoky brisket.

During my years of outdoor cooking, I have tried many different grilling methods and styles and used many different types of grills and fuels. Everything from Gas, Charcoal, Lump, Wood, Wood Pellets and Electric.

I have tried just about every type of outdoor cooking method that you could think of, and I will admit, not always successfully at first.

I want to help you with all of your grilling needs. From advice on techniques to choosing the right tools & equipment to get the job done, I am here for you.

The Reason I’m Here

The reason I created this site is to help folks like yourself to learn from my successes and my mistakes enabling you to have a successful grilling experience every time. To do this, I am going to share my personal experiences and what I have discovered over the years through my own trial and error experiments.

I am also always on the lookout for the best cookers, grilling accessories, seasonings, and recipes which I will be trying and be reviewing for you.

All I ask is that if I ever say or discuss anything that captures your interest, that you get involved on this site. Like I said, I love talking about all things outdoor cooking from favorite recipes, techniques, tools/accessories to results. If you have anything interesting you would like to share or any opinions on any of the content I have created on this site, please speak up. I love feedback and honest discussions in any form.

If you are like me and love to entertain family and friends and serve them great food hot off the grill without worrying about whether everything is going to come out just right, then you have come to the right place.

My Personal Journey to Living The Grilling Life

So Now to Me and my personal journey to Living The Grilling Life…

One of my favorite memories, when I was young, was being outside grilling with my dad. It was always an exciting occasion when dad would tell me we would be barbecuing that night.

It really didn’t matter what or how we would be grilling; I was just excited to be able to get one on one time with my Dad and bond as my three female siblings weren’t interested in grilling. He would grab a Coors light, and I would grab a soda, and to the backyard, we would go.

I remember thinking after spending time with my dad out by the grill that BBQ was the best food in the whole world. That was the start of it all.

I also remember the twice-yearly fishing trips that my dad and his friends would take me on where they would grill spicy Italian sausages on “Sausage night” and marinated steaks on “Steak night” on a little portable Weber “Smokey Joe.”

Being outdoors in the middle of nowhere, listening to a stream rushing by, seeing a million stars in the sky and smelling the food being grilled might be as close to heaven as I’ll ever get.

As I got older and moved out on my own, I remember the summer evening BBQ’s with my three roommates, swimming in the pool, drinking cold beer and watching the sun go down.

We had an old Weber gas grill, and our skills left a lot to be desired, but it wasn’t the results that mattered back then. It was the camaraderie and good times hovering over a grill that I remember the most.

My Grilling Journey

My grilling journey has gone through many stages and is still evolving to this day. With so many new and innovative products and techniques coming out every year, this is an exciting time to be an outdoor cook.

Lastly, never lose sight of the fact that this should be a fun and relaxing experience. A chance to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. A chance to bond with family and friends or a chance to get away from it all for a little while to clear the mind, think things over and get a little personal time.

If you ever need any feedback or support regarding your next cookout, I would be more than happy to connect. Simply leave your comments below or send me an email and I will get back to you. Make sure you visit my site regularly as I am always updating it with new information that I come across that I know you will find interesting.

Anyways, I wish you all the best with your next cookout and thank you for dropping by!

Cheers,
