Dizzy Pig Seasoning, My package Arrived
seasoning and spices for meat and vegetables for some time now. I’ve finally decided to put the hype to the test and ordered the Dizzy Pig Complete Sampler pack of spices and rubs.
Did I mention that I was excited? Yeah, I am a little bit of a BBQ nerd, to say the least, but I am always on the lookout for ways to up my BBQ game. My wife calls me “The Spice Hunter” because I am always on the search for a new spice or rub to try. Hardly a month goes by that I don’t pick up at least one new meat rub, hoping I have struck the flavor mother-lode. My cupboard is full of them.
Now most don’t cut the dry mustard (bad spice joke) and end up buried somewhere in the back corner of the shelf. A few have been added to my list of “Go To” staples for my grilling rotation.
Dizzy Pig Seasoning Complete Sampler Pack
Back to the Dizzy Pig Spices and my quest for the ultimate meat rub. Like I mention earlier, I ordered the complete sampler. The sampler includes 13
Dizzy Pig Seasoning, 13 Seasonings to Choose From
sample bags of their Original Blend flavors. In the next several months I will be trying out all 13 blends, each on their recommended meats or veggies. I will then be providing an honest review on how well they stood up to the challenge.
Here is a quick rundown of each seasoning included in the sampler pack, the description on the package and their suggested uses.

Those seasonings sound awesome. I’d try Game On first. That title just makes you want to drop whatever you’re doing and start grilling.
I like your BBQ buddy, Flat Pat too. I need one lol
Thanks Seth. I’m pretty pumped about these seasonings and will definitely write about the outcome. Flat Pat and I thank you for stopping by :).

What intricate seasonings! Here I am again…reading your blog and craving some meat! Haha! I’ll have to let the mister of the house know about this – he’s been getting pretty good with mixing his own spice rubs, but it’s always nice to get some from people who know what they’re doing! Haha! Can’t wait to hear about the results!!!
Mixing your own spices is always fun. Mixing spices that actually turn out well is the challenge. If your man can do it, then that is awesome. I mix my own too sometimes too but that doesn’t stop me from my never ending hunt for the perfect BBQ rub. My cupboard is full of them. What is great about these rubs is that not only do they taste great, they only use fresh, whole spices, are allergen friendly, all natural with no additives or msg and most generally contain less than 20% salt. I have already had the chance to use several and will be writing up my reviews soon. Thanks again for stoping by and talking meat with me. Happy grilling.

The only one I have tried is raging river, used in the maple butter crusted salmon recipe on Dizzy Pig’s site….I HATE SALMON, but I ate the entire filet! It was AMAZING!!! Definitely check it out!!
I agree raging river adds excellent flavor to salmon. I’ve also used it on shrimp and chicken breasts and really liked how they came out. I must admit, this is the first time I have heard about dizzy’s maple butter crusted salmon recipe but have already looked it up. I will be trying it out within the next week and can’t wait. Thanks for sharing this hot tip! If you like raging river, I encourage you to give their other spices and rubs a try. You won’t be disappointed.
