Standout Benefits Of The DCS 36 Inch Built In Gas Grill
Everyone has different ideas on what they are looking for in a grill today. Some prefer that a grill have pleasing aesthetic qualities. Others prefer ease of cooking and cleaning. Then there are those who just want a BBQ that can get the job done. While DCS gas grills have all three, the greatest benefit of this grill is its ability to cook well in all aspects, providing a truly professional-quality cooking performance.
There is a hefty supply of benefits of this DCS gas grill, but if I must pick just a handful, the following would be it…

The DCS Gas Grill Provides Very Even Heat Distribution Across The Grilling Surface
It seems like every grill at this price range would have even heating, but apparently, it’s a lot to ask for because very few grills I’ve used and reviewed can back up this claim. It’s not unusual for a grill to have hot or cold spots, which typically are found on the edges or towards the back of a grill.
But I’m here to tell you that the DCS 36-Inch Grill has even heating. Its closely spaced ceramic rods found beneath the grates that cover practically the entire cooking surface, allowing heat to be provided throughout the cooking surface evenly.
All three of the main burners features a dedicated heat shield that does a great job of directing heat upwards evenly for very consistent grilling efficiency.

The DCS Grill Includes A Smoker Box For Added Flavor
For many, grilling alone is enough for optimal flavor. However, other grillers enjoy smoking wine, beer, charcoal, or different-flavored wood chips to give their meats a specific flavor.
Fortunately, this DCS gas grill has a built-in smoker box with its own dedicated burner. Because the smoker box’s lid is covered and perforated, you can ensure you’ll achieve just the right smoky flavor your meats need. Not every gas grill offers a smoker box, but for the ones that do, it’s a great option to have just in case you want to add more flavor.
The DCS Series 7 Grills Offer A Large Secondary Cooking Space
This DSC grill comes with two racks and one tray of secondary cooking space. These additional racks and trays are great for slow cooking, smoking, roasting and keeping your food warm.
These included secondary racks and tray provide multiple cooking options that transform this grill into one the most versatile grills you can find on the market. They are all easily removable when not in use too.
This DCS Offers A Very High Cooking Temperature Compared To Other Grills
I’m fairly happy with a grill that can reach 800 degrees Fahrenheit, and of course, many higher-end grills can provide that.
But the 36-Inch DCS Gas Grill?
It can hit a whopping 1,100 degrees Fahrenheit without an issue. The high temperature that this DCS can reach is excellent if you love a good hot and fast sear.

Using DCS Gas Grills
Operating DCS gas grills are incredibly easy. The grill has push-turn automatic ignition, which will remind you of your indoor kitchen range making lighting it an afterthought.
Here is a quick rundown anyway. You start by turning on the main gas supply. Then push and turn the knob associated with the burner you wish to light, turning it to the ‘HI’ position. Each burner can be manually adjusted individually to increase or decrease the flame making sure you get the temperature right. Once it lights, let go. There is also an alternative manual lighting system in case the automatic one doesn’t work.
Once your grill is lit and in the ‘HI’ position, put the lid down and preheat for about 5 to 10 minutes. After preheating, pop your food onto the grill, and change the knob to the correct grilling temperature.
After using the DCS Built In Gas Grill, turn the knob(s) to the ‘off’ position, and turn off the main gas supply. Once the BBQ cools off, clean the drip pan, grease tray, and the grates.
DCS Built In Gas Grill Description And Features
I have to say, it was difficult to pick out a small selection of features to highlight for this powerhouse of a BBQ; there are just so many. But I guarantee you will not find a feature you don’t like in the DCS barbecue grill.

Patented Grease Management System
The grease management system on this DCS grill is one of my favorites. With its W-shaped grate design, it provides a little “tunnel” for excess greases to channel down directly into the removable drip tray.
It definitely makes for easier cleanup and more convenient grilling on a broad scale.
Double-Sided Stainless Steel Cooking Grates

Then you once you flip the cooking grates around, you’ll notice that the rods have a larger and curved surface area. This is important for better caramelization and is great for delicate food such as fish and veggies.
Smart Beam Lighting System
If you enjoy grilling whether day or night, the DCS Natural Gas Grill will ensure you can grill regardless of the amount of daylight present with its Smart Beam lighting system.
This lighting system operates with halogen illumination and covers the entire grilling surface, unlike some skimpy, low-quality internal lighting systems offered by other grills out there.
14,000 BTU Rear Infrared Burner And Rotisserie
Who said grilling has to stop at hamburgers, hot dogs, and grilled veggies? Not DCS, that’s for sure!
Its infrared burner and rotisserie ensure you can beautifully cook a large turkey, chicken, or other foods up to 50 pounds. A heavy-duty, waterproof motor that is simple to operate runs the rotisserie. While you won’t see me rotisserie cooking as often as I should, this is a nice feature to have for the times I do.
Removable Warming Racks
After hearing about all of these great features, you may be now thinking, “Ooh, a removable warming rack. So what?” But the thing is, DSC went a step further on regular old warming racks and designed them with added versatility in mind.
I personally enjoy having a warming rack when grilling for large groups of people. DCS offers a fairly large rack to ensure meats and other foods can stay warm while you’re still cooking away. Even when you keep it attached, it doesn’t get in the way of your grilling. Simple, but I like it.

Who Is The DCS 36 Inch Built In Gas Grill Made For?
I must say, the DCS Built In Gas Grill is easier for everybody. It’s simple to operate, it cooks meats and veggies to perfection, and it never ceases to amaze with its incredible features. There are a lot of things on this BBQ you will never find on another grill such as its well-designed grease management system.
Specifically, I’d say this grill is especially excellent for those who love to grill at night. The internal halogen light inside of this grill is incredibly bright compared to other grills on the market with this feature. Of course, just having an internal light alone is highly appreciated as it seems less BBQs have them than not.
Secondly, DCS BBQ grills are for someone who wants a professional-tasting meal without paying a significant amount for a grill. With or without using the smoker box, you can achieve high-quality flavors whether you sear or slow roast via the rotisserie.
Why You Should Think Twice
There really isn’t anything bad to say about the DCS 36 Inch Gas Grill that would make a consumer think twice – unless you’re hoping for a more affordable grill.
But for the sake of this review, keep in mind that this grill’s radiant rods are ceramic and more susceptible to breaking. That said, expect to have to possibly replace the radiant rods at some point during the grills lifespan. However, every grill – even the most luxurious of grills – have the potential to malfunction or break at some point in time.
Also, if you don’t like to put effort into maintaining your grill, this may not be the best grill for you. While it has its efficient grease management system and offers an easy-to-clean grease tray, proper preventative care will help prolong your investment.
Besides these two issues, there really aren’t many reasons to not want to purchase the DCS Built in Gas Grill.
Pros And Cons
Price And Warranties
The DCS 36 Inch Built In Gas Grill is listed for $2,999.00 at most places, a fairly moderately-priced BBQ. With all of the technology and neat features of this grill, I’d say you’re getting a fine deal.
As for the warranty, this DCS gas grill offers a lifetime warranty (labor not included) that covers the burner box, stainless steel grill cover, stainless steel grill burners, grill racks, and cooking grates.
As for parts and labor, there is a limited two-year warranty. Then for the radiant tray side rails, radiant trays, and drip pans, there is a five-year warranty. DCS also promises to replace parts with structural deterioration that are not due to performance.

The Bottom Line
One of the best grills I have had the pleasure of reviewing to date is the DCS 36-Inch Built-In Natural Gas Grill.
The cooking performance of the DCS 36-Inch Built-In Natural Gas Grill is hard to beat. From patented technology to the exceptional grill grates and wide cooking temperatures, it’s safe to say that this outdoor cooker is worth purchasing. DCS never fails to shock me with what innovative features they have in store.
